Mask Photo and Doll Sewing...

Masks done. If I need more I have the fabric. I decided on two folds eventually and ties, not elastc. Shortage of elastic anyway. I did have twill tape.  Hoping this need for masks is not long term. Stay safe out there. Please.  Back to fun sewing. Hoping to cut out that student nurse uniform I am working on - I have 4 patterns so far used.

Switch to Masks....Plague Times....

Yes, masks. Here is the pattern link I used...Deaconess Face Mask but here is another one too that is good....

Face Masks
I really like the second one better ,and am making the ones I have cut out like she does. To an experienced sewer it is much more streamlined.   This is a break from doll clothes, but I have a pattern worked out for the student nurse uniform and had to use four patterns to do it so hope all works out!! HAHAHAHAA....there may be a fifth involved by the time I get that project done. No time soon I guess.

Quilting Interrupted....Relaxing in Hard Times...

So, yesterday I quilted as I have each day for several days, and I wanted to check my quilted long row, and when I did, this little sweetie popped up and settled in on the rest of the quilt. I had to stop there. She slept there a few hours - then it was near midnight and too late to start in again....I never move the cats.  She just loves the quilts when she finds them. :) So here is the quilt all bunched up while she slept on it.

Nice to be so relaxed in these times. Carry on.

Quilt Quilting...Space for the Quilt...

Doing some large curves with the AcuFeed foot....Very restful quilting, although you do have to get the whole thing through the harp often. Altogether a relaxing activity though, as I have done other quilts this way. I use the "scrunch" method and keep the part I am working on smoothed out, but the rest bunched up for ease of motion.

My setup is two Gidget tables - one has the big Elna with AcuFeed, and one is cleared of machines.  Positioned lengthwise, and then I add the ironing board to the front on the left for more "table" space. It's a workable system that is flexible, and of course can be smaller when the ironing board is away. And then a machine can use the second table when needed. I love my setup. Works well for me in either this mode or for my Pfaff when I do free motion. When I do free motion, I position TWO ironing boards by the Pfaff. One on my left perpendicularly, and the other behind the machine table.  Here is my setup!

It is handy to have sewing room furniture you can fold up and put away when space is needed.
