Table Runner...Asian fabrics

Asian fabrics table runner....the back is striking and is the dark red print shown above. Used Metrosene and Superior TWIST to quilt. TWIST began to separate when I was about two thirds done, so I switched to the same basic color in Metrosene, but of course Metrosene is not shiny and silky looking, but it worked.  Warm and White batting pieced with some Warm and Natural.  Bobbin was Superior Threads Bottom Line.

The family likes the back better than the front so that is what is upwards this time around. :) The pictures are difficult because of the 60" length of the piece, and the butterfly print just does not photograph well. In person it is very lovely and so is the turquoise with gold high lights.

Nicely done. That red fabric is quite striking. Good thing that you had more of the same color thread.

Well done on both sides but I agree with your family that the "back side" red is beautiful and inviting. Very nice!

Thank SewLibra!! Yes, that dark fabric is so dramatic! I could not resist leaving it almost whole so used it this way! Thank you!!
